Stop the gun shoots, too many lives lost. No more stray bullets, no more police shooting, its time for a gun truce.

Bikes for Life (B4L), has organized hundreds of bikes to promote peace and to call

for a gun truce. As you know the entire Bay Area has been dealing with an increase in violence and B4L will bring people together from diverse backgrounds to educate, build unity, and to celebrate life.

Hundreds of young riders have taken part in this historic event largely in part of the popularity of the new phenomenon Scraper Bikes. Scraper Bikes are basically bike art on wheels (http://www.scraperbikes.net) that urban youth of color began to create in the inner cities. Now Scraper Bikes can be seen all over Oakland. Scraper Bike riders typically ride in large packs similar to motor cycle clubs. We’re using this opportunity to reach & educate youth who’ll then bring message of a gun truce back to their communities.
